Schneider Electric
Rueil-Malmaison, France
The senior executives at the company, which drives digital transformation worldwide through the integration of process and energy technologies, worked in closed individual offices. As this was no longer compatible with Schneider's strategy in terms of globalism, innovation, digitalisation and collaboration, the company created a contemporary 'global nomad hub', designed to serve as a model to guide and inspire the transformation of other offices.
Such an adjustment in work culture triggers a shift in mindset, which affects all work processes as well as the corporate culture – and demands change. A tender process was therefore launched for the planning and furnishing of the 'hub', which was won by Vitra with its visionary concept. The result is a carefully organised, open office environment that supports countless different ways of working. Vitra's durable products are used at the workstations and in the meeting and conference rooms, in the cafeteria and town hall, in the so-called marketplace and in the focus area, as well as in the break zones.
