Jissen Women’s Educational Institute

For well over 100 years, Jissen University has been dedicated to facilitating access to higher education for women while continuing to observe traditional Japanese values. The newly restructured Shibuya campus in the heart of Tokyo uses Vitra furniture in all its public areas, such as its lobby, library, cafeteria, lounge, conference rooms and classrooms – not only because of the quality and durability of Vitra products, but also to make the interior design as attractive as possible and consequently attract more talent. Japanese colour schemes were chosen to emphasise the restrained aesthetics of the designs.
