Eames Fiberglass Side Chair La Fonda

Vitra is launching the Eames Fiberglass Side Chair La Fonda as a limited edition that combines the seat shell by Charles and Ray Eames with cushions in the Toostripe fabric by Alexander Girard. The chair is available in two colour versions of 250 pieces each.
Charles and Ray Eames were close friends with the designer and interior architect Alexander Girard, and they mutually influenced each other’s work. The Girard and Eames archives are part of the Vitra Design Museum collection and were the starting point and inspiration for Vitra when designing this limited edition.
The colour combinations are:
Seat shell in Eames ochre dark, base in basic dark and seat cushion upholstered in Toostripe fabric black/raw umber.
Seat shell in Eames red orange, base in classic red and seat cushion upholstered in Toostripe fabric orange dark/crimson dark.
The Eames Fiberglass Side Chair with La Fonda Base comes with numbered metal labels.
