Circle Store
Vitra Campus, 2023
With the Circle Stores, Vitra puts sustainable management principles into practice by giving its products a second life. From mid-October 2023, a new Circle Store is located on the Vitra Campus in Weil am Rhein, joining existing sites in Brussels and Amsterdam.
‘Vitra’s greatest contribution to sustainability is its products with an above-average service life, which omit everything superfluous. Our roots in modern design would allow nothing else.’
Nora Fehlbaum, CEO of Vitra
Vitra products are designed to remain in active use for a maximum period of time and then be easily recycled. The Vitra Circle stores, which have been opened since 2017 in Brussels, Amsterdam and Frankfurt, among other places, are a physical manifestation of this philosophy and were created by Vitra to give its products a second life. After more than two successful years, the Vitra Circle Store in Germany has now moved from Offenbach to Weil am Rhein on the Vitra Campus. The Vitra Circle Stores sell used furniture and accessories by Vitra and Artek, such as sample products and exhibition pieces. Items are purchased on site, with prices depending on the condition of the products. All products are tested for functionality and repaired if necessary so that a renewed product warranty can be granted.
The store on the Vitra Campus not only serves as a sales location, but also as a central contact point for the circular furniture model. The Circle Store benefits from shorter logistics routes on the campus and also includes a service and repair area.
