MAS
Leonberg, Germany
The tool specialist MAS Tools & Engineering created an open-plan office concept for a new building at its headquarters in Leonberg. From the outset, the central focus was on the company's employees. As CEO Jochen Schmigalla explained, 'It should be a place dedicated to people as our staff spend more time among colleagues than with their own families'.
The result is a bright, spacious office landscape with workstations, retreat zones, conference rooms and a cafeteria. The latter is so attractively designed that employees readily meet and spend time there – to eat or work, for coffee breaks or meetings. The cafeteria is situated directly next to the reception area in order to overtly promote contact with visitors.
Furnishings by Vitra and a harmonious overall lighting concept, with moods tailored to each area of the office, further emphasise the company's esteem for its employees.
