The Faculty
Anderlecht, Belgium
A building from 1892 that had been used as a veterinary school for almost a hundred years was renovated from top to bottom by the city of Anderlecht in accordance with strict low-energy standards. As the tenant, The Faculty transformed the interior into a high-quality coworking and conference centre. Interventions, such as well-chosen openings and removing walls and doors, have resulted in six office platforms, with settings ranging from individual offices to modern open-space landscapes under the monumental roof. Seven conference rooms can be flexibly adapted to the respective needs of the user and an auditorium for 180 people was created on the second floor.
When it came to the interior furnishings, products by Vitra were selected as their quality and understated design perfectly complement the historic environment.
